Blog 6: English Language Challenges

Hi Everyone!

This is my last blog :(  today I will talk to you about how this whole blogging thing has been and my opinion about learning English at university, this blog will mainly be for reflection and comments.

I have always liked English since I was a child, actually I have always liked languages. But I had never had to write blogs in English, at school the methodologies to learn English were different, that is why I was surprised by this methodology to learn English, I must say that blogs are a good idea, because you feel more free to write your opinion, well if the topic to be discussed is interesting, because otherwise they would be very boring. I liked the methodologies of the university, maybe I would add a little more playful activities, but other than that I found them acceptable. This was a good year, since it was face-to-face, I feel that I learned much more than the previous years in online mode. Although they were not bad either.

Although I like English, I am not an expert, I still haven't mastered it completely, I only manage certain things but I must say that it is my fault because I haven't dedicated enough time to improve my English, so I can't complain, that's why I must begin to expand my vocabulary, practice much more English grammar, to be able to have fluent conversations. I would like to start watching a lot more movies in English (although I already do it hahaha) listen to music, read texts in English and look for people/friends who speak English fluently so I can practice. I hope to be able to do it, since I don't spend much time learning English, I only do it through movies or music but obviously that's not enough, I'm going to dedicate many more hours to practice this language, either with apps, videos, texts, etc. I really want to learn it, as this will be very useful for me in the future.
I hope you liked this blog, thanks for your comments and take care.

Changes to my study program

 Hi everyone!

I haven't written for a long time, today I bring you a quite peculiar blog, since I will talk about my university, my career, and I will give you my opinion about the changes that I would like to see in the study program.

The career I am studying is Early Childhood Education, I am in the Faculty of Social Sciences. To be honest, when I was in the university for the first time I was very disappointed, everyone was talking about the pride of studying in this university, but I felt that it has many shortcomings, starting with the infrastructure, they should add many more green areas and improve the areas to be able to eating, there is a lot of precariousness in these, what at first glance catches your attention. Regarding education, I would like them to add more workshops or courses to be able to learn first aid or techniques that help us in emergency situations or learn to self-regulate our emotions, since I feel that they are quite important topics, especially in the career in I am, since in the context in which we find ourselves it is essential to treat them.

The workshops that partially mention these topics do so externally, they do not do it in depth and, as they do not last long enough, the contents are briefly addressed, so that in the end we learn the theoretical, but we do not practice it. (this being the most important).
I hope you enjoyed this blog and sadly I have to tell you that the next one will be my last, so please look forward to it.

Post-Graduate Studies

Hi everyone!

In this blog I will talk to you about the possibility of studying a post-graduate degree, once I finish my bachelor's degree.

To be honest I am not 100% clear which post-Graduate degree I would like to study, but I have thought about some like the Post-Graduate in Early Childhood Education and Child Development or the Post-Graduate in Character Education and Emotional Education, as they catch my attention, in my opinion they are fundamental topics that we must learn in the educational area. Emotional education and childhood are quite broad topics, in which I would like to research and learn in depth.

I have always wanted to travel around the world and in the future I would like to do a post-graduate degree in a European university, as I think I can acquire a lot of important knowledge in those countries, and they will help me to see another side of education. I like my country very much and I would be sad to leave it especially for my family, but I feel that there are countries with much more advanced educational methodologies than in Chile and learning from them I can return to my country with innovative ideas that can contribute to the development of education. This thought motivates me to continue and not abandon my dreams, since education needs people with vocation and willing to generate real changes in this area. I hope you liked my blog and see you in the next one, greetings.

The dream job

Hi everyone!

In today's blog I am going to talk about my dream job...

I am studying to work in a few years in what I have always dreamed of, which is to be an early childhood educator, this is the job I have always wanted and I have imagined myself many times traveling around the world acquiring different learning to then return to my country and be able to implement new methodologies and create my own kindergarten.

Being an educator requires a lot of skills, it is not easy at all, since you work together with families, children and the educational community itself. It requires patience, dedication, responsibility, empathy and many other values. It becomes a difficult task because the children depend on you, all the knowledge you have as an educator, you are going to transmit to them. It is a commitment where your mental, social and physical stability is put to the test.

In Chile it is not a career that many people want, due to the low salaries provided by the governmental system, but somehow you can gain more experience in this area and still find a good salary. You just have to work harder and you can get it. Being an educator is a very nice career, with which you can achieve small improvements in the educational system, providing a great contribution as a citizen, we must always remember that children are the present and the future of a country, therefore our focus should be directed to them. I hope to achieve my goals and someday be the educator I have always dreamed of being.

See you in the next blog with new topics to discuss, greetings.

The best vacations ever

Hi everyone!

In this blog I will tell you about the best vacations I have ever had in my life, I hope you will be interested....

My best vacation was the summer of this year 2022, we went to the north to visit the house where my older sister lives, which is located in La serena. I remember the trip was quite long, in the bus was my mom, my second oldest sister and my 2 nephews. The stay was 1 week where I visited many beautiful places, like the city of Coquimbo, Vicuña (where Gabriela Mistral lived) I also went to different beaches, craft fairs, went to amusement parks, I went on a pirate ship! I visited a restaurant where they cooked with solar ovens (the food was delicious), I did different activities throughout the week; they were definitely incredible experiences. What I liked most about the trip was the warmth of the water on the beaches and also the weather.

I missed my sister a lot, I hadn't seen her for months, so that made the trip even more great as I spent a lot of time with her. I loved every day I spent in La Serena, and I would definitely go there again, I really want to keep traveling and seeing the world.

I hope you liked my blog, and see you in the next one.

Blog 1: A country I would like to visit

Hi everyone!

My name is Constanza Martínez Molina and in this blog i will tell you about the country i would like to visit. This is very difficult decision for me, as i would love to visit many.

The contries i would like to visit are 2, not 1, these are Japan and Italy, as they have beautiful places to visit, and i would love to know their culture and gastronomy. I would |like to live in Italy for a while but not in Japan, as the have certain customs that i would find it hard to adapt to, anda also because the language is very difficult. I know more Italian that Japanese but i would like to learn both languages someday.

While i am as a tourist i would like to get to know in Italy, the cities like Rome, Venice, Florence, etc. And from Japan i would like to know Kyoto, Tokyo, Miyajima, etc. The gastronomy of these countries is what most attracts my attention, as they are countries that have a very peculiar food, especially Japan, which makes me very curious. I really hope to be able to travel to these countries and visit different places, creating beautiful memories, which in the future I will be able to share with my family.

I hope you liked this blog, and see you in the next one....
